The tankas in this collection were written to thank “Chef Tom” for his culinary gifts. But being poems, and their author being Eileen R. Tabios, the tankas transcend their origin to offer reading pleasure to others who may or may not have been fed by Chef Tom.

(This chapbook was also created as the poet’s 2018 birthday present to her husband Tom. That detail need not be relevant to readers, except that the chapbook is illustrated with some family photos. The poet believes those photos should not interfere with your reading pleasure.)
